The Bay Adapt Impact Report highlights the significant progress the Bay Area has made in sea level adaptation by implementing the Bay Adapt Joint Platform since 2021.
This report celebrates the transformational progress we’ve made across our five key pillars: People, Information, Plans, Projects, and Progress.
The Bay Adapt Joint Platform reflects a profound shift in how the Bay Area approaches climate adaptation. Nearly 1,000 interested parties helped shape the Platform, and 55 cities, counties, agencies, and nonprofits have endorsed it since. Over four years, the Bay Adapt Joint Platform has evolved from a bold vision into a living movement for regional action, equity, and resilience in the face of rising seas.
While the snapshots included are not exhaustive, they shed a spotlight on many stories that illustrate the collective progress made as the Bay Area rises to meet the climate challenges of this decade and beyond.
Bay Adapt is facilitated by BCDC, in partnership with a broad range of Bay Area organizations.
